Social Media

Healthcare Strategy and Business Planning

  • Helped healthcare companies develop strategic plans by providing them with market, competitive and patient insights, facilitating strategic planning processes with leadership teams, leading work sessions and facilitating decision-making processes to determine direction and key initiatives.
  • Translated those into roadmaps and operational plans.  My role was to share best practices from other companies, work with leadership to customize, add insights, facilitate strategy process, and synthesize/document results.
  • Some strategy engagements involved recommending new business models, sources of revenues, and product/service offerings.

Digital Strategy and Solution Development

  • Acted as the Digital Strategy Lead for life science, medical device and diagnostic companies.
  • Conducted deep patient research, created journey maps (symptoms, diagnosis, education, treatment, ongoing management), designed longitudinal omnichannel care programs integrating digital and traditional care (web, mobile app, SMS text, field nurse visits, call center nurses/coaches, KOL content/events, in person specialist appointments). 
  • The design of my recommended digital care solutions involved: longitudinal touch point plans/care pathways, use case and persona development, content and engagement strategy, global/country specific-regulatory requirements, personalization schemes, behavioral science, risk stratification, early warning detection, just in time education, passive sensing, adverse event handling, medical and emotional support and connections to virtual care. 

Patient Acquisition and Retention, Product Launch

  • Designed and conducted omnichannel acquisition campaigns to recruit and onboard new patients and clinicians and continue to engage and retain them over time
  • Launched new products with extensive marketing and launch campaigns

Research and Data Analysis

  • My work has involved extensive primary research with patients, clinicians, and thought leaders in healthcare
  • Conducted in depth interviews, developed and launched large scale online surveys, conducted focus groups

Awards:

  • 1st Place – MIT Hacking Medicine/Boston Children’s Hospital Hackathon – Team Ready.Set.Go – Was one of six team members to win the 2014 Hacking Pediatric 1st place and MassConnect award for the concept design of a patient-centered discharge app that began upon hospital admittance.  Covered care transition, medication management, care team, when to call, follow up appointment reminders, and more.
  • 2nd Place MIT Hacking Medicine, Grand Hack Team Trimary Care –  Was one of three team members to win Primary Care Track in 2015 with a patient-facing AI app connecting patients and clinicians.
  • Semifinalist in Takeda/Medstartr Open Innovation in Depression Care 2016 Challenge – for a competition to identify a depression/mood disorder solution. Co-authored study describing an innovative pediatric precision medicine depression care model.

Volunteerism:

  • Mentor – MIT Hacking Medicine COVI-19 Challenge, April 2020 – provided guidance to teams competing to create innovative solutions that address COVID-19 challenges
